A good day

Last night was my last night to do the child care at church. OH MY GOSH!!! I am so thankful my children are not like the little girl that I ended up being stuck with. She has major attachment issues!!! Her parents drop her off and she starts crying, so guess who is the only one available one to pick her up so they can go? Yea...you guessed it...ME. That was a huge mistake. The whole 3 HOURS I was there, I had to hold her. She is almost 2 years old, HEAVY, compared to my Brielle anyway, and she smelled funny. Sitting in the chair with her, her head was just barely under my nose and by the end of the night, it was terrible. It wasnt a dirty, not taken care of smell, but it was weird and after smelling it for 3 hours, pretty gross. If I tried putting her down, or giving her to someone else, she freaked. It was lovely.Anyhow, I made it through that adventure, Thankfully. Now bring on the paycheck!!!

My camera is going to be here today. WOOHOO! I bought a Canon Rebel Xsi. I just checked the tracking and its out for delivery. I have been waiting for a long time to get a nice camera like this one.

Today is just a good day. No child care work, my camera is coming, and Forest will be home tonight after being out of town for 3 days. The kids and I miss him! Oh, and the sun is shining again after 3 days of rain. But now we are getting the blow dry! Dang wind!!!

Child Care Work

My neighbor, who goes to the same church as us, called me on monday and asked what I had planned for the next couple of evenings. Being that Forest is out of town until Thursday, my plans consisted of a whole lotta nothin'. So, she asks me if I would be intereted in working some chilk care at the church Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to about 8:30 or 9.. I was hesitant at first, because I have a hard enough time working in Owen's sunday school class once a month for an hour and a half. So Im thinking, holy cow, 3 hours?!?!? THEN, she mentions its a paid position. 10 bucks and hour! My mind changed real quick...lol. So, I get there about 5:20 lastnight. She lets me go in with the babies, rather than the 3 year olds. It actually wasn't terrible. But by 8pm, those babies were tired and grumpy. It got a little interesting. Owen ended up coming in and hanging out with me for the last hour because he was being "naughty". Yea, right....the lady was a cow. I asked Owen if he was being naughty and I could tell he was upset. He barely got out a no, and the water works started. Poor guy was devestated. I asked what he was doing that was so naughty and apparently he wanted to play with the toys. Go freakin figure! There is a huge room full of toys and you expect a 3 year old to not want to play with them? I asked why he couldnt play with the toys and she said because all the other kids were watching a movie. Well excuse me that my kid wants to PLAY instead of sitting on his butt and watching TV. UGH! Anway, didnt get out of there til 9, and then my neighbor asks if I can be there at 5 tonight rather than 5:30. EEK, sure, what the heck!

Introduction

My name is Lynne, I am 23 and I am a very happy wife of almost 5 years ( in June) to Forest and stay-at-home mommy to Owen Russell (just turned 3 in February) and Brielle Eileen (just turned 1 in February). I am getting a new camera. It should be shippped out today, so be prepared for loads of pictures to come!!!

As for today, its raining and I hate it. Owen wants to play outside so bad, and doesnt understand that its too cold and wet. That kid would live outside if I let him. The thought of that right now doesnt actually sound too bad. Haha, just kidding. But whoever told me the 3's are better than the 2's were lying. Hopefully the 4's will be better, but then we will just be starting all over again with Brielle. She is such a sweetheart, but definately has attitude. She is is princess and she knows it! Well, off I go for today. I am working the childcare at our church tonight. Yippee, I can hardly hold in my excitement ( can you feel the sarcasm there?).
