Funny story time!

Owen has started calling Forest and I by ours first names, rather than mom and dad. Its not a constant thing, but becoming more so as the days go by..

Friday morning he had been out in the shop working with Forest. He comes running in the house, throws his coat off, heads into the bathroom, but not before saying "im gonna stink, I need to turn the fan on!" After a few minutes of him being in there with the door tighly closed, he opens the door and says "Hey Lynne, you can come in now and clean my butt." Gee, thanks Owen.

Whew, what a week! It went by so fast. And the weekend? Where the heck did it go?!?!?!? We had a great weekend though. Owen caught his first fish! We went to the Sportsman's show here in town and they had a fishing pond set up. It was Owens very first time to catch a fish. He was so excited! He even made us bring it home and Forest cleaned it and I threw it on the grill and the stinkin kid ate it for dinner!!! Mr. Pickiest eater in the world ate trout for dinner. Okay, well it was just one bite, but he tried it. He said he liked it and that it was "delicious" but his face said other wise!

My "diet" and working out are going well. I'm not really on a diet, just trying to eat healthier and I exercise three times a week. I have lost about 8 pounds since November. Not too bad, eh?

Hump day

Not a whole lot to say this morning. The kids and I are going to go down and spend the day with my parents. They both have today off work...yay! I went to the gym monday night after my bible study. Yesterday wasnt too bad, but holy cow, today I am sooooo sore!!! I have yogo tonight, which makes me sore too, so tomorrow and friday should be lovely. Well, I am off to bathe the monkeys....

Yuck...its monday!

We had a nice weekend. Nothing too exciting though. Friday night we went to the Family dinner and movie night at church. We had some yummy spaghetti and then watched Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. It was really cute. Owen really enjoyed the movie. I have a headache this morning, actually this is the second day of it. Now my ear hurts too. Hoping its nothing though! I am off for bathtime!

Thank goodness its friday! What a week I just had. Non-stop activites (not complaining, it was great) kept me busy, an almost 2 year old kept me REALLY busy, an almost 4 year old kept me busy, a husband kept me busy. YIKES!!! And I see no letting up in the near future.

Wednesday I tried a day of panties with Brielle. She did awesome until I needed to shower that afternoon. I knew I should have put a diaper on her, but I didn't. Instead, I sat her on the potty for bout 15 minutes. Nothing. I take a quick, like 10 minute, shower. Get out not only to find that she PEED ON MY BED, but also that she had gotten an unopened-seal still under the lid-bottle of body wash of of my dresser, took the lid off, the seal off and DUMPED THE WHOLE THING ON MY CARPET!!!!! I was so ready to run away at that point!!!!

So, goodbye to this week and on to better days.......hopefully!

Oh and we are going to Family dinner and a movie night at Church this evening. Spaghetti dinner and then watching Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. Should be a blast!

Back to reality...

Yesterday was Owens first day back to school after being off for three weeks. I also had my MOPS meeting, so Brielle got to go to "school" too. They were both way too jacked up to take naps yesterday! They finally did, but it took them forever to go to sleep. Oh well, they had fun!Today is going to be a lazy day. I am sooo sleepy today for some reason. I am going to try out a YogoFit class at my church tonight. I will let ya'll know how that goes!

Funny story time!

Brielle can be such a stinker! I was making the kids lunch yesterday and I had left the pantry door open. Now, my pantry is more like a small closet. Definitely not a walk-in! Anyway, Owen was scoping out all the snack food when all of a sudden I hear the door shut and Owen screaming. Brielle had shut Owen in the pantry!!! He is small enough that he was shut in between the shelves and the door. He could not move at all though. I hurried over and opened the door for him. I felt terrible because he was sooo scared. Little Brielle thought it was hilarious though! She was laughing so hard. What a naughty girl!!!

Today is Owens first day back to school after winter break. He is so excited. He has show and tell this morning also and is taking one of his new Mr. Potato Heads. I have MOPS this morning too. It works out nice since MOPS and Owens school are both at our church and are at the same time. I only have MOPS once a month though. Anyway, back to the daily grind I guess.....

Its about STINKIN' time!

To all of those who were following my blog, I am truly sorry for ditching you! One of my new years resolutions is to keep this baby updated this year! It may not be everyday, but at least once a week. So, keep checking back!!!!!

As for an update, the kids are doing awesome. Owen loves school and is learning stuff everyday. He is becoming such a little man. Definitely a big boy now :( Brielle is also learning new things everyday and some of them are so stinkin funny. She is about to start her potty training journey, tomorrow! I am going to buy her some panties tonight on my way home from my bible study. She is showing major interest in using the potty, so now its time for mom to stop being lazy and give it a go. Wish me luck! I am sure I will need all of it that I can get. Forest and I are doing awesome as well. He has been busy with work and all the side projects he takes on. It helps support the race car fund I suppose, so I deal with it. As for me, I stay plenty busy! I got myself a new Kitchenaid mixer shortly after Thanksgiving and I am in total LOVE with that thing. I am always trying to think of new things to cook so I can use my mixer! Well, Brielle is screaming in my ear, so I suppose its nap time. Stay tuned........
